Same with me. I would make recommendations if I could, but I only use photoshop.

It's not the program which makes the designs, it is the designer that matters. You could try a few and as long as the program does what's in your mind you have all you need.

i have been making my own cd covers for awhile now, i have been using microsoft picture it, but it is pretty basic, i was wondering if there is anybody out there who can give me a few tips on how to make good cd covers with photoshop, thanks in advance

What Hans said it true , when I started I used Picture it , an old program from Windows. , when you start to design seriously , Indesign , Photoshop and Illustrator are your tools to go.

Unfortunately the new covers for the FTD's soundboards are mostly amateurish , check the old covers from RCA they are spot on. make sure the photo's are in frame and don't be scared to cut it to your needs !
