Over on the Home Theatre forum there has been some discussion on what happened a few years ago with the canceled Loving You 4k scan BluRay release.

I “was told late last week, Universal is presently doing some work on Loving You with the OCN—not sure if it’s just digitally preservation or some sort of restoration work”
Many members of the home theatre forum work in the Entertainment Industry, so comments like this do have some credibility.
I’d suggest also reading the posts prior to the one I copied here, well worth your time.
Let’s hope there is a chance for a release.

Re: Loving You 4k - the latest
This is number 1 on my Elvis want list. No. 2 is the MGM documentary outtakes that Baz is working on will get out eventually. Loving You was done in Vista Vision and will be a killer in a 4k release. PLEASE SOMEONE GET GOING ON THIS.ForeverElvis wrote: ↑Thu Apr 18, 2024 5:59 amOver on the Home Theatre forum there has been some discussion on what happened a few years ago with the canceled Loving You 4k scan BluRay release.

Re: Loving You 4k - the latest
EPE will show Loving You on the big screen during Elvis Week 2024.

I wonder if this event and the alleged restoration work done by Universal are connected.

This could be very exciting news.Sebastian E wrote:EPE will show Loving You on the big screen during Elvis Week 2024.

Showing Loving You in, supposedly, DVD format, will not look very good on a large screen. We will have to keep an eye out for any announcements regarding restoration.
They are showing King Creole as well. It most certainly would be the 4k scan from a few years ago. Showing Loving You on a large screen in a format anything less than 4k would be a farce.
Here’s hoping!
Always Elvis
