Studded Sundial Jumpsuit (B&K Concept Suit)
I have to be honest upfront, the original that Elvis wore isn't a favourite of mine! I'm more of a 1972, 1973 & a few from 1974 when it comes to Jumpsuits. However, this is in my opinion a very bold concept which I like very much. The weight of it must be a concern though? The guys at B&K have done an amazing job here, There is a Wheat Jumpsuit with the same Idea which is very nice too. https://b-k-enterprises.com/jumpsuits

A really nice looking jumpsuit. Too bad Elvis never had a chance to wear it. Honestly, I like it better than the sundial suit we have all become accustomed to seeing. Of course, it could be that we've seen the latter suit so much ...., But this suit really has a nice style, even classy look to it.

Note sure about you folks but I don’t think this concept would’ve been around at the time. This is a “concept suit” designed and studded by our head studder, Michael Polston.
He presents his interpretation of the iconic Sundial suit, crafted solely with studs instead of the conventional embroidery. We take great pleasure in crafting unconventional and non-traditional fashion pieces! If you have a unique concept for a personalized garment, let us transform it into a tangible creation!
Lovely suit though.

Re: Studded Sundial Jumpsuit (B&K Concept Suit)
In some ways, I actually prefer this version to the original. It would have been even more . . . classical (70's jumpsuit) EP.Matt Ashton wrote: ↑Tue Apr 30, 2024 10:42 pmThe more I look at it the more stunning it becomes with the detail!!!
Incidentally, this reminds me (in a salute to the orinianal), does anybody remember this '77 art?

That detail is so intricate… really nice. Too bad it wasn’t an option for Elvis before he went to the embroidered costumes… he probably would’ve liked it.

I like this suit, however I think the wheat suit doesn't work. The original wheat suit is one of my favorite suits, because it looks so refined. This version looks a little to robust to me.Matt Ashton wrote: ↑Tue Apr 30, 2024 10:39 pmI have to be honest upfront, the original that Elvis wore isn't a favourite of mine! This painting is pretty terrible. Too cartoonish for my tastes and not my kind of style. Also looks very unfinished.Yamaguchi.Y wrote: ↑Thu May 02, 2024 11:27 amIn some ways, I actually prefer this version to the original. On the studded Sundial concept suit though: I really love this concept. It's very well done, well executed, and the detail is on another level.
I think Elvis would have loved it if he had this option at the time.

Re: Studded Sundial Jumpsuit (B&K Concept Suit)
Yeah, I tend to agree.
I never got (bought) one for some of those same reasons. I just remembered it, that's all.
I think some of my / our fondness for this Sundial jumpsuit is its deep connection to '77.
Things of this sort were just starting to surface then too, filling in the void of shock, loss, and pain — just a bit of nostalgia.
