Official FECC Feature Request Thread

I had used the "Foe" feature for a certain member on here who kept getting on my ass sometimes about stuff but, in all honesty, if you let something said on an internet forum get to you to where it can consume your daily life - that's where the problem lies.

This is ONLY a forum - but it's one and I'm proud to be a part of even if I don't post that much.

I just dropped in to see what condition my condition was in. The new feature might be a tad buggy, then.

I was just kind of randomly browsing, saw this, and had to comment 'cause I had a chuckle at the "...condition was in..." dealio.

How about a section where folks can discuss their hi-fi and audio video set up?
We could discuss and post tips on CD rippping, DACs, amplifiers, speakers and so on.
If some one is new to the digital (other than CD) they could get help with set up advice and so on.
I would love to help out anyone who has questions about NaS storage, playback controll apps, DACS and so on.

Others, yourself included, contribute far more than I have, or ever will.
Most of the time I'm kept locked up in the fecc basement.

Hate to answer your post with a quote. But from the mod:

At the end of the day it is down to user preference and their habits. Old habits die hard. Some prefer to respond by hitting the reply button (with no nested quotes) while other members hit the quote button.

I agree with mod3 it does look better not to have a giant hunk of text, or as they said cleaner. But did it REALLY keep you from having a good experience here? Honestly?

That's the thing. FECC isn't (as far as I know) meant to be the "do it only one way Elvis forum" (I'll catch flack for that, I know).. Some, like you, relax as if it were a fine dining experience, and that's ok. Others, as if it were Arby's, and that's ok too... To try and conform members who have been posting here for over 20 years to a new posting style would involve resources that are not realistic, unfortunately. I think some of these other forums you speak of in the other thread started the rules at the birth of their forum. Not 20+ years in.
