Hi
Can anyone identify the date and location of the ' moonlight swim ' home recording on the bootleg cd .......The Colonels Collection?
I've asked my Elvis expert friends but no one knows where this came from? It seems to late to be 1966 or 1970's and 1959 would be too early?
Thanks
Johnm

Re: undated home recording
I had heard that it was a home recording of Elvis, but not a duet that appears on the CD 'Colonel's collection'. The female voice was added, and the song was repeated to make it more complete.
I do have the CD that Karlos mentions above, and these songs sound like they were home recordings of Elvis.

By all accounts, dubbed or not, it's not Elvis.

Re: undated home recording
I have the Colonel's Collection CD. Anyhow, it's not Elvis. It's a good attempt, no doubt.Troubleman wrote:I had heard that it was a home recording of Elvis, but not a duet that appears on the CD 'Colonel's collection'. The female voice was added, and the song was repeated to make it more complete.

Take a listen to the raw version (3:45ish), and it will become clear.
