The Mepmhis shows would be great for sure but I'd like a mix of venues from march 74.....the second Tulsa show is one I'm waiting the most!

It has been 3 months since the last release was announced. Maybe the EJ retirement rumors were true and FTD is done are maybe they are just taking some time to regroup and figure out what to do?
Hopefully they are working on a box set of the shows from Philadelphia.....,
Philadelphia should see a release first, obviously. Providence second. Johnson City third.

I'm all in for a Mono set, or a complete Singles set. the book would be huge though as I'd expect full front and back covers included.

I don't mind the slight delay -- it provides me an opportunity to go through some of the most recent releases more thoroughly. And pull some out some of the old FTD gems. I have been playing Fame and Fortune from 2000 a lot in recent weeks.
That is a great CD for sure! Fantastic artwork too. I played another old CD recently - the Bilko classic "American Crown Jewels". Like everyone else, I look forward to new releases, but it's also important to remember AND PLAY the great CDs we already own.

On another note, I'd like to say that I have always enjoyed reading your posts here on FECC. Don't leave!! :D
Thanks for the kind words, my friend. I am not leaving anytime soon -- just busy right now with work.

I love the Bilko classic cds and pull them out once a year. Great memories as they were the first imports I got a hold of.

I’m curious but why do some refer to bootleg releases as imports.

The Complete 1956 Dorsey Brothers on FTD. Bring it On in 2024! :D

Assuming that the legalities has by now been sorted and negotiable. Because , as with the Mono -o nly release, those Dorsey appearances were (and are) an important chapter of the Elvis legacy.

Will there be a mono box set?
Will there be another sessions set? If so, what?
Will there be a Memphis set?
When's the next MRS release?
What have Memphis Mansion got up their sleeve?
Will there be another Madison release?

Seems like you’re in a pretty bad way. Maybe you should take some legal advice to see if you human rights have been violated in any way with this lack of information
No legal advice needed. I can always call on my doc who knows everything.
Would that be Doctor Robert, because if you’re down, he’ll pick you up.

The Dorsey Shows were released on the RCA 4 Compact Disc Box Set - A Golden Celebration (07863 67456-2) (BMG Entertainment) in 1998. I do not believe they have ever been released on FTD, except for two or three overdubbed tracks on "This Is Elvis."

P.S. I stand corrected. As pointed out below the Dorsey Shows were released on the FTD edition of "For LP Fans Only."

That's correct. And, it is the only SONY/BMG release with Elvis one verse solo performance of "Shake, Rattle and Roll" from the April 3, 1956 Milton Berle show.

The longer they delay, the sooner I can get my electricity turned back on.

Is it your wife or someone else's?

Either way, you must know by now that if you're a true collector, you should get your priorities right. You know what that means, right?

Years ago I discovered the joy of going to record shows. I would ask certain dealers hey, do you have any Elvis bootlegs? they would ignore me or give me the stinkeye and say no. (mind you this is only a few years after the huge FBI Elvis Bootleg crackdown). So, I went to this one guy who had the most CDs, boxes and boxes stretched across 4 long tables. This man was a huge dealer and was always busy as hell. I asked him, hey do you have any Elvis bootlegs? He stopped, stared at me looked around and got close to me almost whispering "do not ever say bootlegs, call them imports" Wow, in a moment it all became clear. He sold me 12 "imports". But I did just have to kinda dig in to this one dealer who was a real d*ck to me and I was walking by I shouted out hey do you have any imported Elvis bootlegs anymore? LOL....stinkeye look followed me home
