Andy Williams covered ''Memories''.
I don't know if they ever met.

Re: Elvis & Andy Williams
Elvis probably appreciated his voice, and certainly paid some attention when girlfriend Anita Wood was a part of his 1958 summer replacement show on network TV, and was the second voice on his hit single in 1959.pacer wrote:Had to visit an elderly relative at the weekend who is a big Andy Williams fan. Whilst there I was brousing a pretty comprehensive 100 track CD of Andy's recordings and what struck me was the amount of tunes also covered by Elvis. I know some are standard classics and recorded by many artists but I just wonder is there another artist that has such a cross over will Elvis? Did they ever meet? Is there a known appreciation between the two?
Anyway I was so struck by the selection I made the following list where they both share the song...
Solitare
Cant Help Falling In Love
Are you Sincere
Blueberry Hill
I Believe
I'm So Lonesome I Could Cry
Unchained Melody
You'll Never Walk Alone
Hawaiian Wedding Song
My Happiness
Let It Be Me
Blue Hawaii
I'll Remember You
Yesterday
Have I Told You Lately
I am sure there must be others including the standard christmas songs.
Anita "Miss Management" Wood - "The Chevy Showroom Starring Andy Williams" (CBS-TV)
Tonawanda News, Thursday, August 28, 1958
..
Andy Williams, "Hawaiian Wedding Song" (Cadence 1358, December 1, 1958)
Billboard US #8 Pop, March 16, 1959
Elvis would record this in 1961, and use the Williams-Wood arrangement in his 1970s concerts.

Re: Elvis & Andy Williams
Like many people in the mid 1970's, he did a version of American Trilogy in his concerts. I heard it. As technically great as he was as a singer, his version was not nearly as powerful as Elvis'. And most of us who are older remember his Battle Hymn Of The Republic he sang at Robert Kennedy's funeral in 1968. That was powerful and was released as a record by him at the time.

Ronnie Tutt played drums on some of Andy's 70's studio albums. The song "My lonely room" features Ronnie.stevelecher wrote:Like many people in the mid 1970's, he did a version of American Trilogy in his concerts. I heard it.
