A Few New To Me
Hope they are for you too. First one courtesy of Sandi Kaye Stevens who says it was early '58 on a train going to finish filming for King Creole. If anyone has the 3rd one without the watermark and in better quality, that would be great thanks.

Re: A Few New To Me
Wow!!! Thanks a lot. I've seen the second one already but not the others. Thanks again. Sandie Stevens seems to be a pretty close girl to Elvis, she had roles in Loving You and in Viva Las Vegas. She's lucky for sure!! :

From what Elvis is wearing, that candid appears to have been taken at Paramount in Los Angeles on March 12, 1958.AlohaEagle wrote:Hope they are for you too. First one courtesy of Sandi Kaye Stevens who says it was early '58 on a train going to finish filming for King Creole.
With Dolores Hart and Valerie Allen at Paramount surprise farewell party, Wednesday, March 12, 1958

Re: A Few New To Me
Never heard of Elvis taking a train to the studio.AlohaEagle wrote:On a train on his way to Paramount maybe?
As the article notes he just finished the Paramount film and was heading home after the surprise party. The known photos of Elvis on the train that evening show him in completely different clothes.

Re: A Few New To Me
How about this scenario for the photo:
After the party at Paramount on March 12, 1958 Elvis took a cab to Union Station where he boarded the SUNSET LIMITED which departed Los Angeles at 8:25 p.m.
Here he is seen in the cab (on his way to the train station) AlohaEagle´s photo could then very well show Elvis aboard the train on March 12, 1958 and the two photos below would then be from March 13 and March 14. Notice the round thing in the top of both photos clearly showing they were taken at the same place and even show up in photos from April 1960 where Elvis is departing the SUNSET LIMITED. The two last photos could be from opposite dates. The train arrived in Dallas at about 7:15 a.m. on March 14 and Elvis then renetd a Cadillac and drove to Memphis.
Sincerely
Brian

When I was a child I was a dreamer,
I read comic books and I was the hero of the comic book
And I saw movies and I was the hero in the movie
So every dream I´ve ever dreamed has come true a hundred times.

Re: A Few New To Me
Been a fan for almost 50 years and like to do some detective work when it comes to Elvis, especially the 50s where I gathered thousands of newspaper clippings when I did research for my book back in the late 80s and early 90s.douglasvcampos wrote:Brian how do you have so much information about Elvis?bripet56 wrote:How about this scenario for the photo:
