Haven't ever seen images of Elvis wearing this ensemble on stage, but the more famous royal blue set was seen prominently in the TTWII SE movie update from 2000.

He definitely wore the dark blue one on stage, as he's heard in one show making reference to the fact he's wearing blue. Perhaps he just fancied a change, like in June 72.

sorry also this one was never ever worn on stage.in 1970 he ddidden,t wore two piece suits on stage

Yes, he did, and it's well known, but not photographed, as far as we know. He even references it himself during this show - 24th Aug 70.

Thank you for sharing. I don't think I've seen any of these photos before (if I have I've completely forgotten about them) except the shot that Ed Bonja took inside the airplane...Elvis never looked better. Too bad he didn't wear suits like this more often during this time period.

The blue and black suits mentioned might as well be the ones he was using earlier in the year in Vegas and does not necessarily have been any of these discussed here. There simply is no definitive proof to either claim.

This makes much more sense than the two piece suits, since other pictures of Elvis wearing a Jan/Feb suit in September surfaced a few years ago.
