Looking at Elvis's film career as a whole, "Celluloid Sell-Out" is a rather unfortunate title!

The cd and LP are a definite purchase. They can keep the book, especially as I have already bought the soundtracks from FTD .

What is interesting is the fact that there still has not been a soundboard release of a show or even single tracks from the second half of the October tour. This seems to indicate that either the tapes are not available in the Sony vaults but owned by private collectors, the tapes are lost or damaged or they for some reason are of far inferior sound quality.
Despite the fact that I don't care to listen to any of these shows anyway I found the lack of soundboard recordings from Ocotber 21 and onwards always a bit odd.

I think both shows were overdue..they belong to the good ones from 1976 ..with fine set lists and Elvis being in decent shape. Looking very forward to Pine Bluff. It was requested many times in the past...btw..

Thanks to Ernst Joergensen, Roger Semon and Erik Rasmussen for the great work. Keep the spirit alive !

Pity the Pine Bluff show is incomplete....seems that they don't have the one from the 7th to add the first two songs from it.
The october tour was one of the best from 76...hope the shows on Richfield, Fort Wayne and Dayton are released someday

Thanksss 8)
Remember....Richfield, Fort Wayne and Dayton....any of them would be a good choice :smt002
I guess the march 74 tour was completely recorded and any show from it would be welcome, but the one from Tulsa march 2 is one I'm really wainting for

Will be getting the soundboard set. Shame the Pine Bluff show is incomplete but if it sounds anything like the Huntsville shows it should be pretty easy to fix that problem. Am I right in saying we have all shows from the first half of the October tour now? It’s strange nothing has come out from the second half, if anything comes out I hope it’s the Richfield show cause a pretty good matrix recording can be made.

I wonder why 2 CDs for Celluloid Sell-Out. You can easily fit all those songs on one CD.

Well at least these are 2 more "Good" 1976 shows...particularily the closing Pine Bluff show is "Good" most of the missing songs from the Pine Bluff show i do not really miss except missing HGTA is certainly missing a real show highlight and that is a real pity.Valid points which really do seem to point to 2nd Oct 76 tour week being 'missing' another pity because they were longer & better shows. . Still if i have to get 2 more 1976 soundboards these are 2 good uns and that is quite ok and i will buy them
