Elvis Gold Standard 45s and EPs
FELLOW FANS & COLLECTORS
A few years ago I published a series of articles collectively titled "The Elvis Presley Gold Standard 45s" on my Elvis – A Touch Of Gold blog. I am rewriting all the articles and am searching for information and explanations for a variety of issues and topics.
Link: https://www.elvis-atouchofgold.com
At the top of my list is a search for any information regarding the sales of any or all Gold Standard singles and EPs. I have made some inquiries (yes, I asked Ernst) but there does not seem to be ANY info out there.
So, if anyone knows anything about sales totals of Elvis Gold Standard records and want to contribute that knowledge to these articles, here's your chance.

Re: Elvis Gold Standard 45s and EPs
Oh my, what a wonderful resource for Elvis records and other articles.
Right off the top of my head, I have questions concerning the Collectors Series “Limited Edition” singles that were released in 1977.
And of course, the Gold Standard series from the mid-sixties.

Re: Elvis Gold Standard 45s and EPs
The sales totals for singles and EPs only in the "Gold Standard Series" format is gonna be extremely difficult for you to find information on because it seems that there has never been any information about those sales totals released from the officials at RCA or BMG or SONY Music.nealumphred wrote: ↑Wed Jan 22, 2020 5:19 amFELLOW FANS & COLLECTORS

The only exceptions (that I'm aware of) are that of a few singles
that were originally released on 45-rpm single in the "Gold Standard Series" format...
1964 - Kiss Me Quick/Suspicion https://www.elvisrecords.com/kiss-me-quick-suspicion/
1964 - Wooden Heart/Blue Christmas https://www.elvisrecords.com/blue-christmas-wooden-heart/
1965 - Crying in the Chapel/I Believe in the Man in the Sky https://www.elvisrecords.com/crying-in-the-chapel-i-believe-in-the-man-in-the-sky/
1965 - Santa Claus is Back in Town/Blue Christmas https://www.elvisrecords.com/blue-christmas-santa-clause-is-back-in-town/
1965 - Puppet on a String/Wooden Heart https://www.elvisrecords.com/puppet-on-a-string-wooden-heart/
1966 - Joshua Fit the Battle/Known Only to Him https://www.elvisrecords.com/joshua-fit-the-battle-of-jericho-known-only-to-him/
1966 - Milky White Way/Swing Down Sweet Chariot https://www.elvisrecords.com/milky-white-way-swing-down-sweet-chariot/
Sales totals can be found in some of the booklets that came with certain FTD releases.
The problem with gathering accurate sales totals for any of Elvis' singles, EPs, or albums is the fact that many listings only show what the record sold initially within the first year (or so) of release.

PAUL
Thanks for the response!
Covid and several other personal issues drastically slowed down the work I was doing on my blogs, including the updates on the Gold Standard releases. I should be getting back to those articles in the next few months.
And, yes, finding sales info for the Gold Standards has been unsuccessful except for those you noted above.
Rockahula, baby!

Re: Elvis Gold Standard 45s and EPs
I keep hearing from other Elvis fans / Collectors that the Gold Standard 45 RPM singles are the best sounding Elvis records out there.
I only have one available at the moment, Kiss Me Quick/Suspicion, but the rest are in storage.
