Yeah, that would be cool!Elvis2000 on June 30th, 2018, 5:52 pm wrote:For the LP, even though I don't collect LPs, the Elvis Sings Memphis Tennessee FTD would be great, I would definately get it if it happens.
There's quite enough left to be released thouRKSNASHVILLE on Sat Jun 30, 2018 6:16 pm wrote:So, I'm curious as to why so many are pushing for a 3-cd FTD of "Viva Las Vegas"? As I look at Keith Flynn's Elvis sessions site, there's not too many complete outtakes left unreleased. There's a lot of false starts still unreleased. Don't get me wrong, I'd love to all those and the studio banter as well!
If there is a 3 disc set offered, will it include everything we've already bought on previous releases? Believe me, I want the unreleased stuff too, though small it may be, but I also don't care to buy everything I already have...yet again. And I'm sure to add a 3rd disc they would up the price. Paying close to $40 for a single or even a 2 disc set is pushing it now.
Why not a 2-disc with what's left unreleased? It might even fit on a single disc!
Or how about offer the FTD's digitally as well as the option of the physical cd? I've been listening to Elvis music a lot through Amazon streaming and have wished many times that I could listen to my FTD's the same way.
Not trying to start an argument, but am I missing something in this 3 cd FTD discussion?

Are we so sure it’s all available in the archives? Cause, it might be well only a paper listing. Can we have a confirmation from Keith Flynn on this? If not from Ernst? I wouldn’t buy a 3 cd set only for false starts. As far as I know, there are complete outtakes left unreleased but how many really?Johnny2523 on Sat Jun 30, 2018 12:28 pm wrote:There's quite enough left to be released thouRKSNASHVILLE on Sat Jun 30, 2018 6:16 pm wrote:So, I'm curious as to why so many are pushing for a 3-cd FTD of "Viva Las Vegas"? Well, it seems we can hope for the best then. Although I'm beginning to think it's a bit late now for August, wouldn't you say? No announcement yet. Doesn't look good to me. Could be coming only in October (?). If ever... That said, icome to think of it, why didn't they do a double volumes of it like G.I.BLues?Mike Windgren on Sat Jun 30, 2018 2:21 pm wrote:Hi there!!![]()

P.S: Plus detective work from many Elvis Scholars/Collectors, including Kevan Budd!.
I wouldn't mind that.FTD should complete the "official catalogs" the sooner the better I suppose. Still it's fun to revisited great movie score like VLV and we could hope for more live outtakes from the 70's like On And Off Stage, next time maybe, the 1972 stuff.DENBOW on Sat Jun 30, 2018 2:31 pm wrote:PLEASE LET IT BE [FOR LP FANS ONLY]AS THIS IS A VERY GOOD CD TO DO NEXT![]()
Also will they present each song and take in recorded order (my preferred option) or mix songs and takes around as the current FTD'S.Johnny2523 on Sat Jun 30, 2018 6:40 pm wrote:My assumption is that considering its suppose to be a complete session set.. we will get that what came before and new stuff because its suppose to be complete.RKSNASHVILLE on Sat Jun 30, 2018 7:37 pm wrote:So is it your thought that a 3 disc set of VLV would NOT include material we already have...including the masters?

I definetly agree, like the 1 CD ''Viva Las Vegas'' was mastered too loud, another one that i don't really like the quality on is ''Harum Scarum'' and ''It Happened At Worlds Fair'' (Just compare take 1 of ''one broken heart for sale'' to the Collectors Gold CD set, the difference is staggering.Tornado on Sat Jun 30, 2018 8:27 pm wrote:

I hope they present them like recorded, as in the case of presenting the takes through each other, i'm sure we'd get alot of mistakes in take numbers, especially when dealing with so many outtakes.cs2003 on Sat Jun 30, 2018 9:02 pm wrote:Also will they present each song and take in recorded order (my preferred option) or mix songs and takes around as the current FTD'S.Johnny2523 on Sat Jun 30, 2018 6:40 pm wrote:My assumption is that considering its suppose to be a complete session set.. we will get that what came before and new stuff because its suppose to be complete.RKSNASHVILLE on Sat Jun 30, 2018 7:37 pm wrote:So is it your thought that a 3 disc set of VLV would NOT include material we already have...including the masters?
