I did colour tweak it slightly, but now I have been able to improve it and repair the photo.

Most you may not remember me, but I used to post here quite a few years ago. Then my vagabond life took over and I usually never saw a computer for weeks and actually pretty much never listened to Elvis' music. My vagabond life is now over and I am actually back in "real" life studying Grafic Design. Anyway, my love for Elvis' music and photos from his early life is still there so nowadays I usually browse this site every few weeks or so to see if anything rare and cool has been found and maybe even dated. I don't really write anything 'cause I don't feel like I have anything of value to add to the conversation (or the detective work as it usually is).
But when I saw this thread I became curious. I have a picture of an old poster from the 60's that I think is a promo shot from Jailhouse Rock. Although Elvis is dressed very conservatively the hair looks just like it did for some of the JR photos. I'm sorry about the quality, it is absolutely terrible, but if it is an alternate promo it may still be of interest.
Since I am a graphic design student (although only in my first year so far) I also took the liberty to color adjust the photo that Tony posted (+ a quick retouch).
I hope I have added something of value this time!

Thanks to the Fool for those new images. The second image posted by Little Sister is a strange one. I certainly have never seen it before. The face match's the other Jailhouse Rock shot's, does anyone think it could be a fake?
Yes, it is a fake. I´ve seen this poster in my friend´s collection.
Here is a photo from the cover of TV and Movie Screen magazine, January 1958. This photo was already posted by David, but I think this is a little clearer.
