Song lyrics or quotes that reflect your current mood
Heres a little thread i put up on myspace, i thought might work here.
Lets face it, everybody loves a song that they can relate to. Thats why songs are so effective, we see a bit of our self in them. So heres a thread i think is a bit of fun. Pick a song lyric or a quote that some one has said, that reflects the mood you're in right now. After posting the song lyric, post the artist or band who sang it. With quotes that some body has said, if possible, post the name of the person who said it. Here's mine as an example
Well everybody's got a secret sonny
They got something that they just can't face
Some folks spend their whole lives trying to keep it
Yeah they carry it with them every step that they take
Till one day they just cut it loose
Cut it loose or let it drag them down
Where no one asks any questions, or looks too long in your face
In the darkness on the edge of town
From 'Darkness on the edge of town' by 'Bruce Springsteen
So yeah, whats some of yours people?

I'm like a stranger, like a stranger in my own hometown
My so called friends stopped being friendly, oh but you can't keep a good man down

Here's mine that reflects my current mood....it's a Christian song by MercyMe:
Word Of God Speak
By Bart Millard & Peter Kipley
I'm finding myself at a loss for words
And the funny thing is it's okay
The last thing I need is to be heard
But to hear what You would say
[CHORUS]
Word of God speak
Would You pour down like rain
Washing my eyes to see
Your majesty
To be still and know
That You're in this place
Please let me stay and rest
In Your holiness
Word of God speak
I'm finding myself in the midst of You
Beyond the music, beyond the noise
All that I need is to be with You
And in the quiet hear Your voice
[REPEAT CHORUS 2x]
I'm finding myself at a loss for words
And the funny thing is it's okay.......

"If the songs don't go over, we can do a medley of costumes!" - Elvis Presley (August 10, 1970 backstage in his dressing room before the first show of the August, 10, 1970/September 8, 1970 season in Vegas).

LOL
I saw Elvis live in concert the year before he died. Even then, he was bigger than life, and had amazing charisma. Haven't seen anything like it since, ....until Adam.........Nocturnal 2010
No matter how old you are, no matter who you sleep with, no matter what color your skin is, we can all party together.” - Adam Lambert 2010
