It's almost certainly a faked image.

Either another person was in-between them, or Prince's image was photoshopped on top of someone else.

I hate such desperate measures.

I believe it to be genuine. I was one of the 250 fans that made that trip in 1972, unfortunatly I wasn't one of the lucky ones to get to meet Elvis. Tony met Elvis a few times that year and again in 1973. I have a photo of severall fans including Tony, Todd Slaughter and Ian Baillie with Elvis.

This particuler photo I feel sure was taken when Tony conducted his interview, which included the question I had asked Tony to ask, about Elvis doing a blues album of tracks such as Reconsider Baby, and Elvis replying "Funny you should ask that as we are in the middle of recording such an album". Which as we now know ended up being Raised on Rock.

Funny, considering what we now know about 1973 onwards, but Elvis looked much better and happier in the 1973 photos taken than the 1972 ones.

What the hell are spouting on about now...faked image it is not but enhanced it is, the picture is real the only thing that has been altered is the background directly behind Elvis and that was at the request of the owner.

If you read the link that i posted you will see that the guy over behind Elvis's shoulder has been removed other than it's pretty much as it is.

In my view the photo appears to be altered, and your post confirms this suspicion.

Having read that web page thoroughly, I find it odd that Prince sent his original to have Presley assistant James Caughley removed. You can barely see him to begin with. This original is also quite grainy. I further find it odd that the photo sent in for this work is in BxW, since the image is undoubtedly in color.

If the discussion remains civil, I'll be appreciative.

Thank you for the photos, some that I had not seen before. Yes Elvisjock, Tony Prince was/is fairly short.

Take a look at the second last picture in the link below. It's a cropped version without Tony in it, but you can clearly see he is beside Elvis. It isn't a fake photo.

My post does not confirm the suspicion that the picture is fake, Paul has also confirmed that the picture is genuine, also there is nothing odd or unusual in having things or persons removed from a photo it happens all the time in the photographic business and i should know as i work in it.
