For the 50's aficionados out there in EP Land . . . . another final "Echo" from when it all started . . . .
Deposit slip from EP's first bank account (saved by Vernon, of course):

Edit: Note - Photo at SUN taken around the same time or possibly even the very same day that the bank account was opened (hence, its enclosure with the post).

MADE IN GERMANY -1
First ( NM) pressing of the 1958 Christmas Album
EPB 1035-1. Very fine or near mint copies of
this cover are almost impossible to find, and are
more rare than some of the original Sun issues...
EP Covers with the US text on front ,as featured on
the US LOC-1035 album, also exist, but are impossible
to find in excellent condition due to the laminate
coating thats coming off after all these years...

Vooruit dan maar weer......
MADE IN GERMANY- 2
Both volumes of EPB 1035 ( 1 & 2) featured
the same photo cover when released in 1958.
Circa 1960 till 1967 they were re-issued
with a new photo portrait insert.
The re-issues didnt get the laminate coating
treatment, and are less rare and expensive,
but still hard to find.

I really hope you change your mind. This forum will be less interesting when you're not here.TALLHAIR 2 wrote:great artists are entitled to many a comeback, Funk.

Always Elvis on my mind
Re: Rijff 'n' Roy Present "Elvis Echoes Of The Past" - Part 2
yep, it will be a lot less interesting here.
but I live by my own rules ,and not by those who
think they can stuff their rules thru my throat,
day in day out. But I want to make clear, Im leaving,
Im not told to leave. Let's not make a big deal out
of it. Almost all my old friends have left fecc in
the last year or so. Like me, they have had it with
certain people on this board.
Let me thank ALL you good guys and gals while
I still can. Wishing you all the best, and if Fecc
starts with a group of new and intelligent people
operating this board I will be back. But not a
minute earlier. Thanks James, it was fun working
with you. Thanks Willem for putting up with me
for ol' time sake, and thank you for your support,
all these years. It was fun... most of the time...
but not in recent months.
Ger

It was great working with you on this also Ger.
It should be known though that Ger was/is the real motivator for these threads and most of the thanks for our posts should go to him for sharing his collections with us. My role was simply more of a technician. It really is/was his baby.

Ger,
Love your books and your topics/posts etc but your reaction to this is abit childish.
Anyone would think your suicidal, its only a messageboard.
Why dont you just take a few days away from the messageboard and chill out, if not then just go if your gonna go and dont keep going on about it.
