I keep obsessing about some dates on this tour. Photos change dates almost on a daily basis. Most recently I decided that the photos dated for Greensboro are in fact from Monroe.
I mean the one below, which I now believe is from Monroe March 8.
There's something wrong with a bunch of photos taken at this date, in which the background is blacked out, deliberately, it seems (like in the first picture). Many of these photos were published in John Wilkinson's book, and to me all of them look like they're taken by the same person at a single show. Notice how the head of one Guercio's band member is in exactly the same position in both pictures...above Ronnie's drum...
Then there's the background in the "Greensboro" photos - in photos taken at every other Greensboro show it looks different. Especially in the ones taken in 1976 and 1977...
Does anyone know for sure?
Otherwise I fear this may develop into an unhealthy obsession...

Scott you can't do that.
I mean, change the dates of the photos without consulting the borad first
Just kidding.
Man, are you trying to tell us we don't have any photos from Greensboro any longer?
Because I actually think you're right. It shows clearly in these two photos of which we believed the second to be from Greensboro.

The guy above the drums sits in the exact same position in front of the red wall and then we can just see the beginning of the dark red carpet/curtain stretched out behind the band before it is blacked out in the Monroe photo.
Darn man, you got eyes for the small details
So now we gotta go look for some Greensboro photos.

That's what I thought I was doing, consulting...
Well, luckily things are not quite as bad as that. We have one photo from Greensboro posted in this very thread. I found two others clearly taken by the same person (apparently Jim Jeffries of Greensboro Daily News).Too bad, though, that we can't tell what the band was wearing from these and that they are not in color. If such photos from Greensboro exist, I for one would welcome them!
I also think that a couple of other photos from John Wilkinson's book reveal what everyone was wearing at what I (or "we", I hope! ) now believe to be Monroe, March 8.

Sorry for reviving this very old topic but I read the whole thing and came up with a question.
To which date do these two pictures belong? They were dated March 9 but they can't be from Charlotte due the the railing behind the stage. I tried to search for the same railing in pictures of the others shows from this tour but I can't find any. It seems like the people who started this topic are inconclusive about the date as well, as far as I can tell.

Photos are from Charlotte - the same railing can be seen in the photos for both shows.

Oh wow! You're right! I was confused because this picture is from Charlotte and has a double railing, and the pictures in my previous post show a single railing. But in your pictures I can see it very clear. This must be at the side of stage then?
