October 15, 1970:

Back in Memphis, Elvis goes shopping and purchases a shoulder hoister. In the evening attending The Gospel Quartet Convention at Ellis Auditorium, where he is introduced to the crowd by Blackwood Brothers leader James Blackwood.

Changes are a-comin'

And if your head is in the sand
While things are goin' on
What you need is a Change of Habit"

Never heard of the book, looks like it was limited to 400 copies . . .

As noted elsewhere, Elvis visited the 1970 National Quartet Convention at Ellis on two nights, October 15th and 17th. The blue suit was worn on the second visit. The group seen near him in the one shot is not the Imperials. Hard to tell who they might have been.

Regarding the book "Yours Elvis Presley": Note that the book cover reads "Vol. 1", so a second book is probably published in the (near?) future.

The promo text says: "[The book] ... presents itself as a study guide on Elvis autographs in order to avoid secretarial and forged signatures when collecting".
In my view the downside is, that this is the book all autograph forgers have been waiting for. It will be much easier for them to produce and sell forgeries that can hardly be distinguished from the real thing anymore.
