Re: '77 new to me
Indianapolis? Don't know if the Sweets wore yellow and the Stamps wore black but judging by his ringless fingers...

Bob Heis will always be remembered by the fans for his concert photos, Oct 1974 to Jun 1977.
And his audible presence on John Herman's recording of the 12-31-1976 show in Pittsburgh.
"You're the best in the world, Elvis!!"
We lost him about eleven years ago:
Robert "Bob" Raymond Heis

Also Pittsburgh:
Elvis: "I'd like to introduce you to the members of my group."
Bob: "Who cares?"
Elvis: "I'd like to introduce you to the members of my group."
Bob: "Who cares?"
"Don't tell me to play it. I will when I get ready. Do you understand me?"

Re: '77 new to me
I knew Bob quite well. He was from the Kettering/Dayton area and me from Cincinnati. He took the 'famous' photo that shows the brown and white stuffed dog I tried in vain to trade for a scarf 46 years ago last month. In fact, Bob initially sold this picture in his photo sets from the following night in Indianapolis. When I let him know, he was gracious enough to admit his error and let me know that he'd mixed up the film rolls from the two nights in Cincy and Indianapolis. I told him that it was easy to tell the difference because the band wore blue in Cincy and brown in Indy. He told me he wished it was as easy to prove that Elvis had acknowledged him by saying "OK, Bob" before "Polk Salad Annie in Madison Square Garden because of a note that he sent back stage asking that he perform the song. Out of respect for our friendship, I never questioned him on it and will always be grateful he captured the moment I was three feet away from my childhood hero and all-time performer and singer.

Re: '77 new to me
Bob Heis was a kind and nice gentleman. I ordered many a set of photos from him, too. (Those were the days . . )

Re: '77 new to me
I had the pleasure of meeting Bob in the early 1980's at an Elvis "convention." He was selling pictures and many in my personal collection are from Bob Heis. I remember him being a really kind man to us Elvis fans.
