Richard Upper shot photos for the Honolulu Advertiser. At the time of the Elvis concert he was only 17 years old!
The photo is from the 11-17-1972 (Fri) concert in Honolulu.

Not sure where you get Hawaii from, there's nothing on the web link that indicates that.
It's actually a photo from his 11-11-1972 (Sat) concert in Oakland, CA.

Simmer down on the snark, it's a bad look.
Did some research on photographer Richard Upper, who I thought worked out of the SF Bay Area.
He did not, although later was based in Los Angeles.

As noted in my post update, he attended the 11-17-1972 (Fri) gig at the H.I.C. in Honolulu.

Interestingly, the one used to accompany the review in the November 18th Honolulu Advertiser is not among them.
