1957, as with most of the black and white photo's there is a element of guess work when it comes to colours, unless there are multiple shots or familiar photos

King Creole is a favourite of mine, I love the fact that Carolyn Jones went on to play Morticia Adams in The Adams Family I've coloured one of her too

It's a different coat as he wore in May 1974 when photographed in Los Angeles. I don't believe that your colored version is real.
The coat seems more likely to be the red one he wore on February 26, 1976 while photographed giving autographs at the Memphian Theater.
