Good idea!
Have any in particular (from a google image search/etc) in mind?
There must be more, to express a wider array of feelings along these lines.

Once again, I'd like to see something on the boards where it would be possible for us to make a hyper-link much easier. For example, if I were to post a link to an article about the recent shootings in Conneticut, it would be nice to be able to write out the actual newspaper's headline on here and have the hyper-link embedded in the headline. Make sense? Here's JUST an example:
"Connetticut Still Mourning Loss Of Children & Teachers" (link embedded in the headline)
The actual "link" should be embedded inside those words and people would just click on them.
Another example: "ELVIS FOUND ALIVE!" (link embedded in the headline)
It's not that I'm too lazy to write out the URL and put the link in that way, it just seems easier to be able to write out the words and embed the link into those words or headlines.
God, I hope that made sense because it almost confused me......
Anyway, I hope you get an idea of what I'm referring to.....
is that the same thing as I suggested on page one?:
Elvisgirl wrote:when you want to make a link look like this: example, would it be possible to add some buttons that you can press on, instead of having to type the url part?
Yes, that is exactly what I'm referring to and I apologize for not noticing it sooner. The TCB-World board uses the type of software that makes it very, very easy to perform that task.

@rjm
here's one for now:
I know it's not your requested "my bad" smiley, but those seem scarce!

- The "Software Forum" section:
We all could learn a lot from each other discussing about diffent kind of softwares we use, edition, remastering, burning, or whatever.
- The "All Elvis Premium Archive --> Posts Prior to 2008" section:
I think those topics are essential, but they are almost hidden at the top of the "All Elvis" section.
Lots of good information that some new members may never see. And when they do, if they post a question the rest won't see it.
I would like, if it's possible, that when someone post something in those old posts to make them visible in the All Elvis section, along with the new topics.
Thanks!

Hey Jordan, nice work on having it so that when you click on the thread it directs you directly to the newest reply from where you left off...love that!
Any wiggle room on the star/ranking system for each thread? Not sure how others feel about it but I think it's slightly unncessary considering some threads don't even have a rating. Plus with the ratings directly under the thread title, it jumbles up your view when you're scanning down the board for threads that interest you. With it removed, we'd get the titles of each thread in a nice straight path without any ratings that may or may not be there...it's a little inconsistent at the moment! I know before you had the ratings in a column of its own but I think it's really not that important to be viewed anywhere. Thoughts? That's my final little suggestion!
@Justin
Thanks for the input! I agree that the star-ratings of the topics looked a little bit too messy. That feature will go back to the drawing board for now.
If you, or anyone else has any cosmetic or feature requests --- please feel free to post them here in this topic!
@JimmyCool
I think the Software Forum is being worked on by one of the mods. Also, I will look into the possibility of moving the active threads out of the archive.

Have to say I'm loving the new layout. Feels so much more modern.
Also love the way you jump to the first unread post.. great feature.
Agree the star system seemed a bit redundant.
I know it's been poo poo'd, but sod it, I'm gonna ask again.. Is there *any* hope of some sort of preview when rolling the pointer over the thread title? I didn't see it when it was trialled so I don't know how bad it was. At the moment when you roll over it, you get a yellow box saying 'unread posts'.. so even if that could change to the first 10-15 words of the post.. would that be too intrusive?

I have enabled the feature to display the first 50 characters of the thread. Doesn't seem as intrusive.
Thoughts??

I like it! I think as long as it stays on one line, it'll be grand. I don't know how many characters it'll allow you before moving on to a second line, but might be worth experimenting with?
@KevinK
Been messing with it, and it seems 55 characters is the max for a single line.

Okay - well I can't ask for fairer than that. I guess it's up to the majority. I suppose at 55 characters it doesn't tell you very much, but it's still not much more intrusive than 'unread posts'.. Whatever you think yourself I reckon?

And that's that...the board, to me, is now absolutely perfect! Thank you for removing the star-ratings. They were a great idea but it was tough to really integrate into the board layout. I think it looks much cleaner now---just great! Oh and the tag feature is very cool! A great way to call someone's attention to a post.... Well done Jordan!
