In 1968, the King himself came to Marineland to film sequences for his 1968 film, “Live a Little, Love a Little,” based on the novel “Kiss My Firm But Pliant Lips” by Dan Greenburg. It was the Elvis Presley film that introduced the song, “A Little Less Conversation,” which became a hit again in 2002 in a remixed version.

The Marineland sequence featured Susan Henning as a mermaid on one of the fish tank’s diving boards. The briefest of snippets of it can be seen at the 0:57 mark of this coming attraction film clip:
