Re: Ranch Romances, April 1957
Thanks again, The fool !
From reading the article, it's clear it was written long before April 1957, as it speaks of "Love Me Tender" as not having premiered yet (this happened in November 1956), and also mentions Elvis' upcoming "series" of TV appearances, which probably refer to the three Sullivan dates, in September and October 1956, and January 1957. So probably the article was written somewhere around late September / early October 1956.

Cute little piece from a magazine I'm not at all familiar with. The most significant find is the 20th Century Fox photo, new to my eyes and probably from one of Elvis' early September 1956 portrait sessions with legendary 20th Century Fox portrait specialist Frank Powolny. It's a nice shot! The fool wrote:Ranch Flicker Talk

The article itself clearly places Elvis and his costars on the set of the film, including quotes from Presley and Richard Egan. It also reads like they're in the midst of filming, which dates the writing to late August - early September 1956.
Thanks for yet another cool share!
