There are several interesting photos in the article, a few look to be from one of the February 1956 "Stage Show" rehearsals, although they are pretty small.
I LOVE the Speer Studio shot (Elvis sans shirt) captioned as "Swimming, too, is one of Elvis' favorite pastimes. Here he's about to enter pool."

It's living history, with many unexpected vintage photos and writing that's sometimes deep, sometimes shallow, but always a heck of a lot of fun.
