Another interesting share. Although I'm sure Debra Paget was involved in this piece, it reads like she had some "help" with the writing by someone on the staff of the magazine. It's an nice bit of PR for Elvis and his first film, and it was interesting to read during weekend breaks he went over to the Paget family home in Los Angeles to go swimming. He liked Debra, no doubt.

We can see some great Wertheimer photos, and a concert shot "new" to my eyes. I cannot exactly place when and where it is from, but my best guess is the August 1956 tour of Florida. The mic he's holding is unusual. Anyone know more?

I guess, the picture was taken in Miami, August 3 or 4, 1956. It’s the wall in the Olympia Theater:

The problem is the microphone he is using does not match the one seen in every other photo from those shows.

He gave 7 shows at the Olympia. i think most of the photos are from a maximum of four shows.
He is also said to have broken one or the other microphone. Maybe it was just another one?

I would say the wall with this stucco is the same.

Here’s another picture of an afternoon show on Saturday, August 4. I guess it’s the same microphone. What do you think?

The footlights are also identical - and his clothes.

The photo in question must be from the August 3-4, 1956 dates at the Olympia. Same pinky ring on the left hand, too.
