Note the shot of AM on the magazine cover. She and her husband are posing in the LVH dressing room. We've seen that Oriental rug before.

And most likely taken when she opened at the Hilton on 11-28-1972.elvisjock wrote:Note the shot of AM on the magazine cover. She and her husband are posing in the LVH dressing room. We've seen that Oriental rug before.
Thanks, The fool, for both articles.
One wonders:
- Did Elvis really sing "Treat Me Nice" in Long Beach?
- Where do all the direct Elvis quotes come from?
- Did they know what 4 year-old Lisa looked like? (They circle the wrong child in the audience photo.)

My guess (and it's not more than that) would be that they meant "Love me" and wound up calling it "Treat me nice". Maybe the reporter didn't know all Presley songs by title and when Elvis started singing the reporter made a short note to himself to look up something that went like "treat me like a fool". He looked at some old records and found "Treat me nice". He probably didn't check it back.
Well, hello there....

I'd say a lot of those quotes were bogus.
As much as I loved reading those magazines, some of what they said has to be taken with a grain of salt. Mind you, a 12 year-old Joe Car loved them and didn't know any better. My favorite one was when Elvis was spotted in the grocery line getting a carton of milk and the fan who saw him, made eye contact and kept his secret that it was him so as not to cause a riot. He did have sunglasses on.
