Re: Hawaii 1961 show
There are obviously a ton of great, unpublished photos from this show. Too bad there's no film or video.
Thank you for the upload.

Presley doesn´t wriggle any more
And yet, he seems more exciting than most other rock/pop stars until the 1969 Elvis Presley.

I did not. On stage, they were so lame. And they were. I love The Beatles, but... They were so lame.drjohncarpenter wrote:

Re: Hawaii 1961 show
Your reply is confusing. The British Invasion was led by the Beatles, but involved many groups:The fool wrote:I did not. On stage, they were so lame. And they were. I love The Beatles, but... They were so lame.drjohncarpenter wrote:

Your Beatles opinion is corner-case to be sure, as they made their name on their stage act first, but beyond that it is almost universally acknowledged that subsequent UK groups like the Who, Kinks, Animals, Them and Rolling Stones, to name just five, were hugely influential.
Just because Elvis took a powder in the mid-sixties doesn't mean popular music stood still.
