Elvis Ain´t Nothing But A Sandburg
These two pages are from the summer 1957 issue of Movie Teen Illustrated magazine. There is an article written by Pulitzer Price winning journalist Fred Sparks, in defence of Elvis. And some of the letters he received after the publication of his article.

Re: Elvis Ain´t Nothing But A Sandburg
This is a great article, thank you very much!! Not to often we can read good thing about Elvis' 56, most of the writers think Elvis was a bad influence, etc. It's funny to read the letters...

"Elvis is of the soil itself, like Will Rogers or Carl Sanburg [sic]."
I regret missing this earlier, it's a terrific read, The fool. Thank you.
Do you have a scan of the cover?

Oh, Natalie Wood, such a lovely gal.
The TV appearance mentioned was on NBC's "The Bob Hope Chevy Show," Sunday, April 7, 1957.
Hope's guests that night were Janis Paige, Natalie Wood, and Frank Sinatra.
Thanks!
