Seriously, nice piece. And he so wanted to become an actor . . . it's hard to imagine what he was going through in the mid-sixties. Just hard to imagine. And he never did get to "write a book about how tough it is to be an entertainer." Some other fellas wrote it for him. {sigh}

rjm, it's hard to imagine what he was going through all the time, I think. The whole thing was no easy ride. In the end he was broken on the wheel.

Thank you very much, interesting article...indeed, it was very hard for Elvis to start his career as an actor, everybody study every move of him and every mistake was like: "i tell you he's just a striptease 'singer', he can't act" and other bad words. But he prove everybody he CAN act if they let him.
