Re: Houston 1970 (magazine article)
Shooting photos at the Astrodome was "forbidden"? That's interesting.
Looks almost all of the photos derive from show #2, 2-27-1970 ES (green macrame belt).
In the color section, one is from show #4, 2-28-1970 ES and one from show #5, 3-01-1970 AS.
Several are new to my eyes, and a few are reversed. Here are all five, corrected as needed, from the color page:

Re: Houston 1970 (magazine article)
The fool I think it would be awesome if the Mods would make you a section to put all your magazine uploads all into one place on here at FECC. You have posted so many, and they are such a treat to read these vintage stories, and you do a perfect job uploading them at just the right dimensions, and for them to just wind up buried in the rotation of the picture section is a terrible waste.
You well deserve your own section to compile these wonderful uploads the same way Davide, and DJC has their own library of beautiful topics here at FECC.
You well deserve it The fool, lets hope the Mods can and will make it happen!

I agree, but they need a PM request sent, so they know of your idea (hint-hint).promiseland wrote:The fool I think it would be awesome if the Mods would make you a section to put all your magazine uploads all into one place on here at FECC. Re: Houston 1970 (magazine article)
Great photos, and finally a photo of Elvis walking on the ground singing Love Me Tender from the closing show in his "Thin Green Leaf Suit". Elvis only did this on the last day two shows.

All taken care of Doc, I sent my reply message that you have quoted above via report button earlier.. just need to send them some links of his uploads to get it rolling, so if you can find any of his uploads please PM them to me so I can forward them to the Moderator.drjohncarpenter wrote:I agree, but they need a PM request sent, so they know of your idea (hint-hint).promiseland wrote:The fool I think it would be awesome if the Mods would make you a section to put all your magazine uploads all into one place on here at FECC. Re: Houston 1970 (magazine article)
Thanks for posting. I have these in a scrapbook from a lifetime ago. At the time any live concert shot was a rarity, so these were just so unreal and cool. I remember thinking how could Elvis be cooler than Singer presents Elvis. These pictures answered the question. Today with eveything out there in a smaller more instant world it is really difficult to appreciate what opening a magazine and finding something unexpected like these photos felt like. Seeing the first shot in your post brought back that feeling (i remember where iwas and what i was doing). Great Sundy morning lift.

Re: Houston 1970 (magazine article)
I also agree that "The Fool" should have his own section.
Some of the articles, photos and even the ads that are included in these magazines are priceless,
and having them all in one place would be nice instead of having them scattered all around here and there!
It should be granted!! jmo
