I have this show on VHS - but the tape has not been seen or touched for years - so I wonder if they are playable at all:

Unfortunately they are with a fellow fan who is going through bad times (his son is in a coma for the past year after a car accident) so I do not want to bother him to find the tapes.

I wont be visiting there for a few more months - but when I am, I shall be happy to give my PAL /VHS tapes including many original Elvis movies to any one still interested. Please PM me.

You mentioned you transferred it from a cassette tape to DVD and the quality wasn't so good. Was that because the quality wasn't good to start with on the cassette or it lost some quality when you put it on a DVD?

Just wondering. I have it on cassette. I've never transferred any cassettes to DVDs, so, I was just wondering how it works.

Thanks

Gayle

Matt, most DVD players for computers have a screen capture option. The DVD player that came with this laptop is WINDVD.

Gayle, the quality on the video tape I have isn't all that great. I got it a few years ago in a trade. I used a dvd recorder to put it onto dvd and since it's about 2 and half hours long it did lose some quality but not much.

It works, man, it works. My gosh, she is a beautiful woman. I'd forgotten how great she looked that night. One imagines her love for Elvis was not far from the surface, marriage be damned.

If anyone ever makes a DVD-R of this, please let me know.

I gotta agree with Doc. AM, what a lady. I was just reading Guralnick's writing about the Elvis-AM connection in CARELESS LOVE and can't help feeling that Elvis missed out in one who was at his level and really "fit" in.

I've love to snare a DVD-R of that, too.

Any LaserDisc of NBC-TV's November 1977 broadcast of "Memories of Elvis" is a bootleg. It has never been officially issued.
