I usually like longer versions of songs, but this just keeps on repeating and repeating without adding anything new or interesting............BIGREDG wrote:So you did !!! Good, I am no longer aloneSuspicious Minds wrote:I said earlier that this live version of Suspicious Minds went on too long.

Either I have voted and forgotten about it or it won't let me but anyway. This was the very first Elvis CD I purchased outside of the Readers Digest "The Legend Lives On" 5 disc set from the late 80s. I remember buying it because it featured "Johnny B. Goode" and as a fan of Back to the Future and then just new to Elvis this looked like a dream come true - I wan't disappointed.

Yes, this version of Suspicious Minds is just epic. Just when it sounds like its winding down, it picks up all over again and gets heavier and faster. I'm also fond of the version of Words though, especially the beautiful backing vocals of the Sweet Inspirations. When they respond "dedicate them all to me" it slays me.

Probably the finest live version every released. "In Person" is a great live album and the upcoming 'classic album series' release will only improve it.Davy wrote:Yes, this version of Suspicious Minds is just epic.
