But up till now I didn't know footage of this existed as well. It's in a terrible quality, so I hope someone here has it in (much) better quality. Here it is:

Re: Fan Footage October 4, 1976 - Elvis in leather
Legendary fan Larry Blong posted a story about Elvis at Vicker's gas station on Winchester by Old Getwell Road in Memphis, in the early morning hours of Monday, October 4, 1976. It even identifies some of the people seen in the photos:MikeFromHolland wrote:There are several photos of this date to be found here:

As the blog notes, Elvis was his usual charming self during this gas station visit on his Harley. It was about a 9-minute drive from Graceland, and the place must have been one of the only 24 hour service stations around. Presley's "tenor" and "paper route" comments are priceless. Thanks also for posting that video. I see it was only uploaded about an hour ago ... what a very swift find.

Regarding the Hickory Log restaurant, Elvis apparently used it as a late night check cashing service. Bonnie and Hobart Burnette were the owners.

Thank you! I now know the name of the other woman as well. It was posted on FaceBook today:
"That is my friend Shirley Connell on the left and her friend Tracy Gawer, the picture is from her book Elvis The Man In My Backyard".
Never heard of that book. The FaceBook page:

This is Shirley too:

Re: Fan Footage October 4, 1976 - Elvis in leather
how youthful they both look in the 69 photo compared to the latter 76 shot - must've been something in the Memphis air back then
