Re: "Slowly But Surely"
Slowly But Surely has always be a favorite of mine as well as many from the 63 sessions but OMG PJ is so inferior as a singer compared to Elvis.
Re: "Slowly But Surely"
Had the vocal been taken with more "grit" and a little harmonica in the background along with the fuzz guitar higher in the mix it perhaps could have fitted in better with what was happening with the English bands in 63/64. But not a bad album track and I like it

Thanks very much Juan. A really nice upbeat song. Elvis sounds really good on it vocally. At least for me, it makes me want to get up and dance. I like arrangement of this one as well. Good stuff!

Re: "Slowly But Surely"
Hi there!!
.
Nice rocker with outstanding guitar playing
. The first take is really great!.
..
As nice as the front cover for the European version of Elvis: For The Asking-The Lost Album lp is, I still prefer the U.S one. This lp was never released and when the publicity came out about releasing this album in the U.S, the picture used for the front & back cover was so damn cool. How I wish it was released as an U.S lp. It was perfect
.

Elvis: The Lost Album-"The album that never was"!. Bye for now
.
P.S: There is a nice Elvis blog which features a nice review of the album here below
