Good production number that fits right in with the type of setting this movie is set in. It's one of my guilty pleasures.

Elvis was very good at these High School play songs and it shows in the movie. He would have been great on Broadway.Still haven't got the Frankie & Johnny FTD but it's on my list.

I bet Elvis didn't feel that way about the song.

A crap song, with a hideous song title!

Well, allright than:

Eileen Wilson does the woman's voice on which Donna Douglas playbacks in the clip.

Here you hear Eileen Wilson singing together with the Mellowman/Melloman, the singing quartet that backed up Elvis on songs like One Broken Heart For Sale and Roustabout. You can also see them in The Trouble With Girls as a gospel group called "The Bible Singers".The group was founded by Thurl Ravenscroft and Max Smith in 1948 already.

Fantastic song that would have made a perfect opener in Vegas, if he had dropped those silly karate gi type outfits and worn that snazzy yellow cardigan we Europeans would have flocked over there in our millions , I may just start a campaign to have it made the official anthem of the Chelsea flower show or at least have the London philharmonic add it to their upcoming shows.
Thank you for championing such a fantastically wonderful non mediocre track, on a final note I would have preferred a tad more bombast but you can't win em all.

Alan.

I think Elvis could have put out an FTD album in his lifetime on the FTD Flowers label.

I almost tossed the LP across the room when I heard this. Hmm its 1966 and once more I take home another very disappointing soundtrack from Elvis. Why Elvis, why? Movie setting or not, he should have planted this one in Petunia's @)*#@

Guilty! I just kept buying & hoping, maybe the next album, Elvis will hit it out of the park and seem contemporary! You know, like he used to.

My point is no one should have been expecting regular album material on soundtrack albums after King Creole. And then GI Blues...and then enjoy them for what they were. Songs for a light musical comedy with varying degrees of quality, depending on the scene.

At least I have a decent record collection, all first pressings(with whatever they came with) and basically mint because I hardly played them lol

To my ears it sounds better played backwards.

The 33 album played at 45 sounds pretty cool too
