Re: Will YOU buy the new MSG set?
Yes definitely.
Whilst I think An Afternoon.. sounds pretty good, I don't think the evening show does. But either way, it'll be nice to have them both in a definitive official release, especially with the press conference on DVD etc..
Bring it on.

Re: Will YOU buy the new MSG set?
No.
Elvis looked very fluffy in these concerts and that's reflective of how good these shows were.

It's a no brainer if these shows are actually remixed and remastered.
I'm looking forward to further details.

lol I can't speak for minkahed, but I think what he means is, that, although Elvis was skinny as a rake, had a great tan, his face still seemed a tad bloated (due to drug side effects).norrie wrote:Eh?minkahed wrote:No.

I mean, it's nitpicking, but it's noticeable. He still looks a million dollars anyway.

Do you think there's time for Ernst to change the title? Though I'm not sure "Fluffy from another Planet" has the same ring to it.

My votes are . . .
[ X ] This is a no brainer.
[ X ] No matter what, I love Rob, although he missed the Cincinnati '77 show.

Re: Will YOU buy the new MSG set?
I probably will, though I'm sceptical about what the sound may end up being like. I may wait a couple of weeks to see some reviews.

Ever thought about buying it and forming your own opinion? Just sayin'Matthew wrote:I probably will, though I'm sceptical about what the sound may end up being like. I may wait a couple of weeks to see some reviews.
Re: Will YOU buy the new MSG set?
I've been eager for an upgrade of these shows, so will be keen to purchase unless widely unfavourable reviews indicate doing otherwise. The DVD promises to be a welcome addition along with the potential of handsome packaging and good supplementary material.
