well said. Joan Deary should have featured it on her "Our Memories of Elvis Volume One" compilation and leave out "Girl of Mine" song.

The Undubbed master is more than adequate, but where was this back in 1979 when the late Joan Deary was putting together Our Memories of Elvis Volume 1 ??? Certainly it deserved a spot in context

I really don't know much about or have any comments about Ms. Deary, but this would have made a good addition to the "Our Memories of Elvis" Vol 1 or Vol 2.

Good on you my friend. I'm probably being a tad harsh on Joan Deary as it could well be that "We Can Make The Morning" Undubbed Master wasn't found or known to exist back then. Pity because it would have suited volume one i reckon.

The original version is pleasant enough, but the undubbed version really shines. It's the clear highlight of the Back In Nashville box for me, and I enjoy that set a lot more than most people seem to.

I believe that with the original master, that there were one too many background vocals and they somehow got lost near the end which marred the song.

Thanks Christ that the undubbed master was retained - albeit it should have merrited a spot on the "Our Memories of Elvis" series.

For some reason most of the Memories tracks focused on the 1973-1976 sessions. I agree that they should have chosen a better variety to include songs like We Can Make The Morning. Sadly we have no power to correct these silly Sony/BMG/RCA decisions.
