You guys have a lot to answer for - I've been ordering copies of the RCA International versions from Ebay to havea listen. Got a mint Pot Luck and Something for Everybody on the way!
Is the Something For Everybody pressing the green or black silver ring ?
Both labels could apply depending on the origin of the pressing. In the 80s the UK released reissues on the Green RCA International Label (checkout https://www.elvisukvinyl.co.uk/lp-s) while in Germany these same reissues (after 1982) were released on black labels (http://elvisonvinyl.com/tyske_lplabel.htm).

Thanks. I have the black label silver ring which is not cut by Bob Jones - it sounds fantastic.
I was interested in the green label to see if Boppin Bob was in the deadwax and how it sounded.

BP's Pot Luck sounds brilliant. Well-worth seeking out.

I'll keep my mince pies open for his Elvis For Everyone. Appreciate another great recommendation.

Elvis for everyone - Bob jones - is the only pressing with the mono tracks being true mono. Sounds pretty good.

Right now listening to His Hand In Mine (INTS 5105) with Boppin' Bob in the trail-off. Excellent sound, quite punchy.

Same goes for my RCA International copy of Gold Records Volume 4 (INTS 5146), again with the hand-etched Boppin' Bob in the trail-off.

My RCA International copy of It Happened At The Worlds Fair (INTS 5033) holds no Boppin' Bob reference in the trail-off. Has the same punchy soundscape which I would assign to Bob Jones. Or are my ears playing tricks on me and was this mastered by another engineer.

Well, I swear to God that Bob Jones had a way of doing amazing mastering. Sometimes he reused the British tapes, sometimes USA sent new copies of certain songs, sometimes he even had the privilege of handling the session tapes (like essential 2).

His work blows MOST albums , even current masterings, away. Loving you and king creole are definite versions. Loving you sounds better than the great Kevin Gray mastering from Friday music.

Elvis is back is superb. I happened to buy speedway last week: on the movie masters, distortion is almost gone and the bonus track as are amazing .

On Girls Girls he insisted on balancing tracks per side . Originally, RCA put a lot of playing time on side A (compared to B side) as the songs were featured in the order they appeared on the movie and RCA wanted return to sender to open side 2.

So the 7 songs on side A clocked at around 16:30 and the 6 on side B at around 13:30. So Jones put earth boy on side B track 1, in order to have a similar playing time on each side, in order to master it better. Anyway, it’s also the best vinyl version of the soundtrack.

Also a great sounding album with Boppin' Bob inscribed in the deadwax and a alternate running order as explained previously by Frus75.

Just got hold of my copy of Elvis for Everyone. It does sounds really good - it's got a nice full sound to it. The 50s tracks are nicely mastered sound very punchy. Very pleased with this. Still waiting for Pot Luck - and going to get a few others ordered as I find mint copies.

Back in the day (must have been in mid-eighties) there was piles and piles of that Love Songs lp in a local supermarket here in northern Europe. Didn't really sell too well,so they ended up selling it for appr. 1 USD, and even then ihere wasnt too much buying going on.

I would rate it as the most worthless piece of Elvis vinyl ever sold but still I am sincerely glad that you appreciate it :D

I agree - it sounds superb.

Regarding SUN cuts - this sounds amazingly dynamic https://www.discogs.com/release/1708032-Elvis-Presley-The-Sun-Collection

Its very different to the excellent Kevan Budd remasters but you definitely need both.

I'll try to add something to this (exiting) topic.
About the "Suspicous minds" album, it has the name Bob Jones etched in the dead wax and sounds fantastic. It has punch, it sounds exiting, "Fever" for instance is outstanding, for a Camden release in so much different styles, it's hard to beat.
https://www.discogs.com/release/1714409-Elvis-Presley-Suspicious-Minds
_____________________________________________
"20 greatest hits vol 2" i have the 1985 re issue, no mention of his name anywhere. Sounds good, but also nothing more then that.
https://www.discogs.com/release/880571-Elvis-Presley-20-Greatest-Hits-Vol-2
_______________________________________________________

And i've read somewhere (can't remember where) that he was also involved in 'Rock'n'roll", i've got a later re-issue, and altough on the sleeve and it says "electronically re-processed", i can't believe it, it sounds marvelous! (however, no credits to Bob Jones" anywhere also, but this sounds very VERY good!
