Filming "Live A Little, Love A little" I'm sure it disturbed him greatly, particularly as this happened in his hometown. Two days later he and Priscilla went to Las Vegas where they met Tom Jones and caught his show at the Flamingo Hotel.

During the funeral, Elvis was watching from a trailer on-set. The woman in the ALLC party scene.
She said he was crying, and said he wanted to be in Atlanta for the funeral.

Portions of her interview are generally available. He said more.

P.S. The entry in Adam Victor's encyclopedia is more extensive. Supposedly, Elvis almost went down to see him in MS, but chickened out. Just got scared.

Soon after Bobby was shot, he also went with Priscilla to see Jones.
Looks like it may have been encouragement . . . I mean, Priscilla encouraged by someone. Wonder who? :|
