Post by Stvimpe »

Just read this announcement:

Dynagrave Records proudly presents: Elvis Unedited : Studio Highlights 1970-1976, a brand new CD set with fully packed Volumes 1 and 2 (two separate CDs)

See more:

Another quick buck or a nice compilation for starting collectors?
Anyone familiar with releases from Dynagrave Records?

Thanks for replies and comments. Best wishes!

This appears to be a compilation of previously-issued material from RCA, FTD, Venus and other such sources.

Yes, seems highly likely, I was thinking the same.

I can't find anything substantial on Dynagrave Records prior to this release.

One of the reasons why I'm looking for more information on this release is the following: suppose you didn't own FTD's, Venus etc., would it be a good buy for people who like to listen to Elvis, who like to delve in some lesser known material and/or outtakes, but are not diehard fans? Tracklist is nice, but how about the audio quality? If I find something, I'll keep you posted.

Best.

EIN confirms your impression. Only extra long count-ins. Here's the EIN update from september 11th.

'EIN NOTES that this is a compilation from previous releases, many tracks on FTD and others from the VENUS 'Unedited Masters' series. As before several tracks noted as "unedited Masters" basically include the only extra of the engineer's track count-in just as they did on previous releases.
Check the tracklist before buying.'

Best wishes to all.

Once again, FECC is the place to go to get the info you need.
