phrase "For private use only, not for sale, not for broadcast". The

with the recording data for each track. At the top of the rear cover, it states:
"Not For Sale / Promotion Only".
The CD itself is silver with black and orange print. It is rumored that this
promotional CD was repackaged by BMG after it was discovered that the rear cover
of the original issue contained an incorrect recording date for "Don't
Leave Me Now". The original cover lists April 30th 1957 (the soundtrack
version recording date) as opposed to the correct date of February 23rd 1957

This must be the most lavishly presented single Elvis CD by BMG
to date. The gold colored CD is presented in a triple fold-out digipack. The
front cover is identical to "The '60s Box Set" except the background
is much darker on this variation. The cover also states that this is a
"Special 14 Track Sampler - Limited Edition For Promotion Only". The
inside cover has a foreword by The RCA Records Label identical to the one
included in "The '60s Box Set" booklet. In addition, the inside cover
reproduces the "Collectible Stamps Of Elvis Presley's 1960s RCA Records
Label Covers" (much smaller than in the box set itself) and contains an
advertisement for "The '60s Box Set" - all in full color. All songs
included on this CD are accompanied by detailed recording / statistical data.

1972 - identical to the one used in the commercial release under the second CD
tray with a small "Not For Sale" warning in the top right hand corner.
The back cover includes the track listing and a smaller version of the picture
used as the cover of the booklet included in the regular commercial release. At

A highly collectible item since it was not really a promo
release in the usual sense. The cover (front and back) duplicates in full color
the RCA Victor reissue of the 45rpm version of "That's All Right Mama /
Blue Moon Of Kentucky" in 1955. The back of the enclosed insert includes a
brief account of the recording of this groundbreaking release by Klaus
Schmalenbach from BMG International, Munich. The 45rpm labels of "Good
Rockin' Tonight" and " I Don't Care If The Sun Don't Shine" are
reproduced in black and white on the center pages. The sleeve also states

This is identical in its contents and packaging to the
"From Memphis To Venice" CD except for the title. The CD itself is no
different as the title is not mentioned on either and no catalog numbers were
assigned. Therefore only the spine of the cover and the fourth page of the
enclosed booklet contain the titles and differ between the tow releases.
Apparently, the change in the titles is in reference to BMG / RCA executive
meetings held at the locations mentioned.

Is this a promo or isn't it? This CD falls in the same category
as the US "20th Anniversary Sampler" issued exclusively for the
Blockbuster Video chain. Nowhere on the insert or the CD does it carry the usual
"Nor For Sale" or "For Private Use Only" warnings.
The front cover shows a close up picture of the rear of a Pink Cadillac with
Elvis' name written on the side. Also, in red letters at the bottom of the front
cover, we see the name of the Danish newspaper - B.T. The inside of the cover
again shows the Pink Cadillac and lists the 8 tracks contained on the CD. In
addition, it also contains the cover picture of the European "Always On My
Mind - The Ultimate Love Songs Collection" CD as well as the tracks
contained on that CD. Ironically, however, none of the tracks are included on
this CD which indirectly is promoting this release. The back cover again lists
the contents of the CD on the background of the Pink Cadillac.
The disc itself is entirely pink with black print. It lists the contents of the
CD and the BMG and RCA logos are also shown.

The CD itself is black with orange and yellow print. In
