While RCA suggest a retail price of $69 - one well known site in our Elvis world is selling for a price of $89 plus postage.

To qoute a great man - spend some time Shopping Around

Best Place to by is "wal-mart" or best buy.

That site is all about gouging; I remember when FTD cd's used to be $40 there!

And Curtis, part of the reason why this world is going to hell is because of stores like Wal-Mart. One day we'll all work for Wal-Mart; because they'll crush all the competition and all companies will become one. I'd encourage everyone out there to support their local mom and pop indie record store. Those are the interesting record shops, not Mal-Wart and it's sanitzed albums.

I heard Wal-Mart had a good insurance plan.

Hallejuah Morrissey. Unfortunately. mom and pop record shops are becoming harder and harder to find. (A great one near my home recently closed.) This is a real disappointment to all music fans.

The selection at the "super" stores is far too bland. How many greatest hits can you have? And generally I find the prices at independents competitive or usually better than the chains. Plus, have you ever noticed that a lot of times if you ask for help in an independent they actually know what you are talking about.

The reason way that wal-mart is doing this is, because
thay do not believe pricing things to high,

let's take the elvis cd box set ttaf the price you well pay in the other
record store well charge you $79.98.

wall-mart well say, thats is to high for that set, and
some elvis fans wont pay for that price,

so what they do, they well cut the price down,
and so now it well cost you at
wall-mart well be $69.98.

so they can sell more copys of that cd box set
and if thay have it frist day it well be on sale like

you might see it aound $59.98.
thats called good business for there people
that comes in at wal-mart.

now imo if the other stores bring down there price
they well have lot of people to buy there goods.

so to me i dont think that wal-mart is hurting no one
the other stores falt to have high prices on they stuff.
