Elvis in airplane, classic Bonja shot from 1970

His nose looks really red like he had a cold.

It's a shame the book wasn't any better than the book we have, and also his new book Viva Elvis is dissappointing (I have the japanese book - as far as I know the US version has not been released yet). Seems like he sits on his photo's like a bird on his eggs. But than again, I do have an Elvis Calender from Bonja which holds only good pics. When you disgard the bad pics in Shot By Ed Bonja there are enough great pics left.

Every once in a while Bonja managed to take great shots. I've seen some crystal clear shots taken in Huntsville 1975 which almost blew me away.
He has his own site, and recently added some new shots there, some of which I'd never seen. My main gripe with Bonja is not the quality of his photos but the often grossly inaccurate dating!

Just took a look on your link and the 1972 pictures made my mouth water....Bonja does have the best Pictures from the early 70's. Just imagine how good a book he could make if he really should like to. I bought his last book Viva Elvis and in that book are mostly published pictures & Shot by Ed Bonja was partly out of focus........just look at the honolulu 1972 tumbnails what he has and compare it to his published work. What a bummer...................
