My taste in TV goes from early fifties to now. I am a much bigger TV fan then movie in truth. Going back to the George Reeves Superman to The Office I just like a lot television. I admit some TV is horrid but there is always something to enjoy.

U.S. television has pushed out a lot of crap in the past 60+ years, it's kind of hard to choose a decade.
Off the top of my head, here are a dozen all-time personal favorites:

Good American TV series seem to be few and far apart.
My Name is Earl is the only series i've enjoyed from recent times.
I'd have to go back to the 60s - Batman, Get Smart, F-Troop.

I voted for the 60's.
I like series from the 50's, 60's and 70's.
The 60's offered quite a lot of tv series.
I like the westerns; Gunsmoke, Rawhide, The Virginian, Bonanza, The Big Valley, The High Chaparral and Alias Smith and Jones.
There was some varied series I like.
Batman, Lost In Space, Steptoe and Son, The Fugitive, The Saint, The Avengers (Mrs Peel years), Thunderbirds, Stingray.
I can't remember the exact years they were shown first.
The 70's saw a lot detective series and classic soaps.
Bergerac, Vandervalk, The Rockford Files, Starsky and Hutch, The Dukes of Hazard, Sherlock Holmes, Kojak, Cagney and Lacey, The Fall Guy, Bionic Man, Hawaii 5-0 and Dallas.
These are the programmes I loved watching years ago and I recently bought some series on dvd.
It's a joy to watch my favourite tv series again.
Television time of today is rubbish compared to what tv series we had in the 50's 60's and 70's.

There are so many tv series I have forgotten about.
Benson was a favourite of mine too.
Benson seemed to be against the german lady staff.
Always had jokingly replies.

The 50's is my favourite because of all the classic western series that were shown on our TV in England ; Cheyenne, Gunsmoke, Wagon Train, Mavarick, Rawhide etc etc. Also non westerns ; Highway Patrol, Dragnet and a series we didn't get over here, but I've been watching a few episodes on the net - Leave it to Beaver. The ideal 50's American family! I am sure Tony Dow who plays Wally is an Elvis fan as in a couple of episods he wears a jacket (minus the black felt collar) just like Elvis does in Jailhouse Rock.
Almost forgot the childrens programmes ; Champion, Fury, Rin Tin Tin, Lone Ranger, Range Rider and all the rest. They don't call it the "Golden Age of Television" for nothing.
Chris.

Yep, i think Bixby's Hulk was the best. One of the few 70's shows I still go out of the way to watch. 60's was definately my decade for tv - Batman, the Green Hornet, the Fugitive, Twilight Zone, the Monkees, the final years of Ozzie and Harriet, great music shows like Shindig and Where the Action Is.
