My Pittsburgh Steelers are Great!!

But the Patriots are better, they should win the Super Bowl this year.

Yeah I know, the Patriots seem to have the Steelers number. We just can't seem to beat them. A couple of years ago we finally beat them but Tom Brady was hurt that year.

No that was the 5th Super Bowl. I know I am a Steeler fan but I think they blew a bunch of calls on both sides. The Steelers were the best team on the field and should have won the game. You can tell me which calls you didn't like and I can tell you just as many calls that the refs blew that screwed Pittsburgh. If the Seahawks win the game then the Steelers fans would be crying.

We can go around and around and I wouldn't change your opinon and you are not going to change mine.

If you want to get down to it, I could say that the Steelers got screwed in Super Bowl 30 and they should have 7 titles!!

New guitar day!!!

Traded an old acoustic for a Epiphone Nighthawk.
It's one sweet little guitar. Lot's of guitar for the money.
But I'm so in need of a tube amp.

I've never really been a big effects guy, but this
baby rocks. Today the Strat got a work out, but
tomorrow those humbuckers will get a chance at

Shelby Lynne - Revelation Road Deluxe Set
2 DVD's, 2 CD's

I'd so looked forward to this set. Most especially the
concert DVD. Well guess what, there's some type of
manufacturing defect (what to call it?). It skips/pauses
at every track index. And I tried several different players
with pretty much the same result.

Even with the somewhat defective live DVD it's still a
nice set. Shelby's the real deal, even if her DVD is not.

Instead of creating a new thread, I thought I'd just sing this here...

Apparently, the Jets suck equally, or are equally "number one" (LOL!), so pro football isn't much fun this year at all.

As much as I'd love to go back in time to '68-'69, I didn't yet appreciate football. (That would quickly change, after Super Bowl III, and then the excitement of Joe Namath's brief "retirement" from football, which I remember well.) So, I would just like the DeLorean to take me back to around '86, and the thrill of Da Bears and William "The Refrigerator" Perry! Pro football was fun, once, you know?

Also, if you were getting a gift for a friend for about 20-30 bucks, would you get a thermos collection (that look like camera lenses), or "Teas From Around The World"?

Good gosh, my tree is beautiful! It's just starting to radiate, ya know?

P.S. -- With one caveat, JTIS is a great idea for a thread! A great place to vent. (I mean, verbally! Certain bodily functions needn't be shared with anyone who is not in the immediate vicinity, and is, thus, trapped. )

song they had just won (I can't remember for sure?).

You must have a few years on me. I barely remember the
Jets being good. I remember liking them and the Packers
for both being great teams and having quarterbacks from a
certain University. Then I settled with the Dolphins for life.

Don't forget if you go back in your time machine to see the
Bears, stop off in Miami and kidnap Dan Marino. He smoked
them on a Monday Night. Such a sweet memory.

Jets being good. I remember liking them and the Packers

certain University. Then I settled with the Dolphins for life.

That sounds like the right time. I wasn't a football fan until we moved to Miami, which was JUST before Super Bowl III. It was a BFD down there at the time; my dad bet on the Jets! But before that, I wasn't into to it yet. (I actually was hoping that "Heidi" would come on! Seriously!) But after the hubbub, and his "guarantee," it perked up my interest. And then, that summer, there was this whole thing in the news about this rather interesting athlete (didn't look like anybody else) having this titanic struggle with "The Man." Who turned out to be Pete Rozelle. I remember the news report where he "retired" and was crying! I was this little kid, and that totally got me! By the next year, I started learning the game, and buying books. They had some children's books out about Joe, and that was good.

They got into the playoffs that year, but that was it. After that, they came close once or twice, but they were never "good" again, really. But I absolutely loved them. I can't TELL ya! 'till they put Joe on waivers, and I didn't watch pro football for a while after the Rams ditched him, too. This was, eerily, in 1977. What a bummer of a year!

Then, much later, the Jets had a ceremony, at Shea, where they retired Joe's number, and I kinda forgave them. And pro football.

Now, there is no Shea Stadium! It's gone. And that whole weirdo "shared stadium" thing in Jersey . . . ugh! Okay, so it's not "Giants' Stadium" anymore, but it's not Shea Stadium, either! It's not in NY, and it's "shared."

You're right. I'm a Southern gentleman, I should watch my manners
when talking about a woman's age.

Some of my early memories of football have faded a bit, in a way that
I'm not sure if I saw it live or on video tape. I have better memories of
seeing the games starting around '71 when the Dolphins started their
amazing run. The 70's were pretty good for Don Shula and Bear Bryant.

I love snow!!! it's been snowing on and off all weekend here, and we have 25 cm of snow, and it's still snowing! can't get enough...can never get enough snow! JTIS

I HATE SNOW!!!

If you were a mailman and had to walk in it for 7 hours 5 days a week most of you would hate it to.

I was born in California and moved to Florida until 4th grade.

Then we moved up here in Illinois and got stuck here!!

Yeah; that's something we totally agree on! (Sorry, Mitch. One of those things! I can understand, though.) I can only "see" snow from here, which is really frustrating. You can see it on the mountains, and it's like 60 degrees "down" here. Just out of reach. To go up there, you have to put chains on the tires, and have a place to stay, so you end up "looking at it."

As for how many kids, we'll never know, but they did write a classic about it!
