Rob all the best from Switzerland.
Please keep your Elvis collection, you will be fine again and you will be happy to be able to look at your collection, smell the vinyl and listen to that great mono sound from your old records.

What a nice thread to wake up to. The "good stuff" has finally worn off and I'm awake and alert (well, as much as I ever was).

Yesterday, they removed a cyst from my right vocal chord. It has caused problems for a couple of months. The hospital staff here was fantastic (and what a pretty little nurse I had named Amy). The first thing they did when I woke up was wheel me downstairs. When I got down there, my family and the doctors were all gathered around a piano. It was a very tense time. Everyone held their breath to see if I could sing "Young and Beautiful." When they realized that I couldn't sing it, they knew I was back to normal.

The surgery was a success, but there will be very little talking for the next couple of days. Since I have a long weekend, I'm going to get caught up on some FTD (and boot) listening.

Thank you all for the warm wishes on this thread. I appreciate all of the comments from around the world. A special thank you to the one who sent that touching PM -- you know who you are.

Again, thank you all very, very much.

Now, back to business as usual.
