Great. But not a standard. That vocal was far to aggressive and the band too thrashy to have ever been a radio favourite back in the 50s!! Wonderful stuff!

One of the few 50s songs that kicks ass in it's 70s arrangement too.

This is exactly the reason i love it. A great rocker! An Elvis song can never be too trashy. Tiger man is an another example.

Oh yeah!! That 68 outing of TIGER MAN is as raw as an uncooked egg!!! Perfect!

The vocal is as ragged and strong as Rufus Thomas' fabulous cut. But, I'm sure Rufus could'nt have cut a perfect version of Memories during the same week!

A standard. I love it! My fave Elvis rock 'n' roll song from the '50s. Have never tired of it as I have with many other '50s hits.

I really enjoy it myself. i remember listening to it over and over when I was a kid.

I didn't know what you meant by 'A Standard'.. so I went for option 2.
It' always been in my top 5 Elvis tracks. Absolutely love it.

imo, your poll options are not balanced like some previous poll options... excellent - very good - good - average - boring - i don't like.
