FECC Team Note: Colin, there is never to be a "night of long knives" again.
Since I am only one of the moderators, sometimes I do not know why certain actions are taken, when they aren't taken by me.. What I can disclose though, is that Dan_T had been removed by purely a technical mistake, and he has been invited back - with hopefully no hard feelings on his part. ~FECC-MECHANIC

Interesting.

So Dan_T is Freddy F, and there was a night of the long knives after all??

Ah - 'nice' messages to me are frowned on around here.............. say I'm 'huffing & puffing' or call me the 'forum scold' and you'll be on safer ground..........

Unfortunately, the backup containing the forum posts had been overwritten with a new backup (the backups "roll over" weekly) and unfortunately when all this occurred was the day the "roll over" took place.

All of the threads where Freddy posted look funny now, because people answer posts that no longer exist!

God forbid though you say he's "slipping", then you have to run zig zagedly because he can't make course corrections quick enough (like a T-Rex in an upcoming movie)

I agree with Francesc. A banner telling him to be nice would have been more appropriate in my humble opinion

From the last verse of To A Louse by Robbie Burns:

"O wad some power the giftie gie us.

To see oursels as ithers see us............"

The spelling is Robbie's !

No offense to Bobby Burns, but I do prefer Joe South's phrasing.

The sentiment's appropriate, though.

Well, I must say that I don't know anything about what has happened, but . . . . . .

Two members whom I miss (& this MB is poorer for their absence):

- Kris P.

&

- Freddy (Shazam) Freeman

---------------

JMO.

(If you fellows are out there . . . .) All my best,
N8
... just a fan ....

I reckon they suspected Freddy was one of the banned former members.

Around here you are guilty until proven innocent.

No idea if he was one of the gang of 4, but he seemed like a pretty inoffensive chap.
