:? I'm having severe difficulty with this listing supposed to be 21.8.69 M/S
1. Intro/Blue Suede Shoes
2. I Got A Woman
3. All Shook Up
4. Love Me Tender
5. Jailhouse Rock/Don't Be Cruel
6. Heartbreak Hotel
7. Hound Dog
8. Memories
9. Mystery Train/tiger Man
10. Monologue (Lifestory)
11. Baby, What You Want Me To Do
12. Runaway
13. Are You Lonesome Tonight?
14. Yesterday/hey Jude
15. Band Introductions
16. In The Ghetto
17. Suspicious Minds
18. What'd I Say
19. Can't Help Falling In Love

I'm saying this because the track listing in my book Elvis sessions III is:-
1. Intro/Blue Suede Shoes
2. I Got A Woman
3. All Shook Up
4. Love Me Tender
5. Jailhouse Rock/Don't Be Cruel
6. Heartbreak Hotel
7. Hound Dog
8. I can't stop loving you
9. My Babe
10. Mystery Train/tiger Man
11. Monologue (Lifestory)
12. Baby, What You Want Me To Do
13. Runaway
14. Are You Lonesome Tonight?
15. Words
16. Yesterday/hey Jude
17. Band Introductions/happy birthday to James Burton
18. In The Ghetto
19. Suspicious Minds
20. What'd I Say
21. Can't Help Falling In Love
now if someone can explain this NON correlation then i'll be 'happy' but in Sessions III the given track -listing DOES match perfectly the 22.8.69D/S something doesn't make any sense here!???

hey YDKM,

guess we'll just have to be patient and look forward to
PIER's review as he says he is getting a copy of either
the D.S or M.S Aug 21 1969 about now!

All power to YDKM

The only reason I queried it was because of the 'known' track listing... i see Piers Thursday night... so maybe he can put me right?

Has it been confirmed that the U.S. is getting the package with the second disc? Right now, U.S. consumers can pre-order the single disc compilation.

Strange, but if BMG/Sony wants to maximize sales of yet another compilation, one way to increase interest from long-time fans is to add unreleased bonus material (like a 2nd disc of an unreleased show). So it looks like in the U.S., the primary audience for this title is the general consumer. It is for those casual fans that may have missed the last 2 "live" comps released in the past 3 years.....

hey monkboughtlunch,

i thought i sent you a pm about this yesterday.

According to the ElvisAustralia website the second disc of V.L.V will be coming out in the U.S and
also Canada sometime after the Las Vegas documentary
that you guys are getting on television. Shame that Australia and
England won't get to see this special as so far, it hasn't been scheduled.

So don't worry about it OK!

If you want to worry about something, our friends and fellow FECC contributers RENAN and Gregory Nolan
Jr has started a campaign by way of a petition to wake up the relevant
owners of the ELVIS ON TOUR footage into releasing a multi dvd
commercial package. So far they've only achieved a measly 2100
signatures. I only just learnt about it last weekend.

I feel we should all be supporting Renan and GNJ on their crusade and take the
time and effort to sign. Come on Now!

heres the info -

According to elvisnews.com,this CD-set will contain the August 21,dinner show. As far as i know, this was the very first concert ever they (RCA) recorded professionally and it's completely unreleased. Nice.

Wal-Mart Exclusive
Viva Las Vegas (with Exclusive Bonus CD)
This Wal-Mart exclusive is a deluxe 2 CD set, second disc is an 18 track Elvis Concert.

I assume this is the same Aug. 21 dinner show on the Walmart set? But the Japanese version is 19 tracks - not 18. Maybe they didn't count the band introductions track? Or cut out a monologue for US release?

The "regular" U.S.A. version of "Viva Las Vegas" has one disc with 16 tracks. The "international" version has 19 tracks on the first disc adding "Proud Mary," "I've Lost You" and "It's Over." The WalMart "exclusive" has the "regular" U.S.A. 16 track version as the first disc and a bonus disc containing an 18 track concert (assumed to be the same disc as the second disc on the "international" version, which is advertised as having 19 tracks.

If you go to:

http://www.walmart.com/catalog/product. ... id=6115332

you can play a sample of each song on the 16 track disc, including "Viva Las Vegas," which is the studio version from 1963.

Mystery Train[/quote]

No idea why this song are included in the first place,it doesnt belong here with the other 70s tracks......except for that is has Las vegas in the title.
Nice song but not on this compilation :?
